Spartan Node UPDATES the burn time to 3 MONTHS!!!
The original vision for the LambdaX token was to incentivize active network participation through velocity, not quantity of tokens. The original LambdaX white paper can be found HERE.
The crucial mechanism to encourage network participation has been the idea of a timed burn. With community feedback and observing transaction behaviours we’ve decided on some modifications to the LDX incentive model.
LDX BURN
Discussions on restarting the LDX burn were brought up in the last node meeting and the merits of PoM (Proof of Momentum) and the appropriate burn time was discussed. Suggestions included that any LDX activity including Node Rewards qualify for burn reset. We found with the release of the bazaar utility, tipping, voting for Spartan Node, and the vending machine there are enough use cases for the LDX token to warrant a very conservative 3 MONTH BURN timer.
WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?
Any wallet activity with the LDX token will reset the 3 month timer. Tokens will only burn if the wallet address becomes dormant for 90 days with zero LDX activity. Essentially, your tokens will never expire as long as you maintain some activity with LDX which should be no issues for the vast majority of users since there will always be someway to participate on the network.
