Spartan Node Team Meeting Minutes — February 12, 2021
This week the Spartan Node community gathered to discuss several proposals.

So what happened at the meeting???
Spartan Node now with Bi-weekly payouts!
The first matter of business was changing the community rewards distribution to bi-weekly (every 2 weeks). This was unanimously approved. Distributions will occur on the 15th and last day of every month. Payout addresses and amounts will be published for transparency. All Spartans are encouraged to verify on the blockchain.
Monthly Charity Initiative!
Questions about monthly charity initiative. Spartans were encouraged to provide their choices for charities that will be awarded out of the node rewards allocated in the budget. Suggestions offered include: homeless charity, helping youths in Kenya, Sole Hope provides shoes for children in Uganda. For this month the community has chosen Sole Hope.
Charity allocation is provided for in the approved budget and a separate Spartan Fund account will be created to collect and distribute funds to the approved and registered charity chosen by the community
All members of the ICON community are invited to offer suggestions on a charity of their choice to be added for discussion in the next meeting please contact CaliCrypto or ICXPumpLord.
Minimum Stake Amount?
Minimum stake/Minimum payout was discussed. Community has agreed that there’s no need to change this policy. Current policy will stay in effect.
LambdaX
The new, secret Spartan Node token finally has a name! Remember crew, this is a separate token issued by Spartan Node itself and has no effect on the current reward structure. Three names were offered for the vote: Leonidas, LambdaX and Spartan. LambdaX was approved by 59%.
Several designs for the token were presented. The final design and token details will be released at a later date.
ICON Bullish Meme Contest Winners!
The ICON Bullish Meme Contest vote had 10 finalists out of over 60 submissions. Finalists can be seen here.

We’ve had absolutely amazing support from the community on this one. We’d like to thank all of the Spartan Community members who made submissions. We had over 60 submissions. We were not prepared for this level of participation. We’d also like to thank some community members for helping support this contest.
